I was looking for a small birthday cake for my wife at the last minute and walked in to the Vanilla Bean one afternoon. She wanted a banana nut cake with butter cream frosting. I talked to the head baker and she recommended a caramel velvet frosting so I went with it. The cake was ready the next day at 2 in the afternoon! It looked great and tasted great. The cake was a little heavy but that could be expected with a banana nut cake. The frosting however, was amazing. Probably the best cake frosting my wife and I have had that we can remember. I will definitely go back for more cakes and would recommend this place for their timelines, service, food and price.

I so love the idea of wonderful Bakery downtown. I openly admit that I spend a good amount of time at Bouchon in Beverly Hills. I have a pretty diverse sensibility with all kinds of styles and takes on pastry. Sadly the pastries here seemed quite course and even on the sloppy side. I intend no offense to the bakers, but to really keep the doors open on a shop you will need to up your game. Always keep in mind people spend money on special, and the pastry here has a ways to go to perfection.

Stopped here with my kids after a morning of sledding. Great steamers, hot chocolate and coffee. The pastries were good too. The staff was friendly and more than accommodating. Downtown Idaho Falls needs more places like this.

Yummy pastries and cookies. I enjoyed the broccoli cheese soup and a latte as well. This is a great place to meet friends for coffee.

This quaint shop adds a lot to Downtown Idaho Falls. The only place in town that has coconut milk lattes, ask for Leah. The pasties are amazing!! Priced right with fresh ingredients.

Great place to eat! I went for lunch today after having heard there was a new European pastry shop in town. Here is how I would rate this place in a few areas: 1) Food. The food was delicious. I am not from Idaho and was so happy to see good food with fresh ingredients. If you are tired of the microwaved, butter-filled food you get at the chain restaurants, try this. 2) Service. The woman at the cash register was helpful, knowledgeable, and fast. 3) Atmosphere. It was quaint and clean. Lots of windows that add good, natural light. The bottom line is this place is amazing. I am so happy to see this place in business and hope you try it.

This is a pretty cute downtown coffee shop. I'm visiting from California and I'm used to seeing really packed coffee shops but here I was just about the only customer to dine-in. I ordered a Mexican Mocha and a breakfast croissant. The mocha was really nice and I would order it again. The breakfast croissant was pretty good although they didn't warm it up for me so it was a pretty big disappointment to have cold eggs in the middle of the croissant. The staff was nice but seemed a little annoyed when I tried talking to them. The four stars is for the coffee but three stars probably for the overall experience.

In Idaho Falls visiting my sister. My boyfriend and I were cruising around sight seeing. We stopped in here for dessert and a coffee. The Napoleon was perfectly puffy and I didn't mind the filling get all over my face while I happy ate. Quite a nice little treat after a meal.

Well, as a transplant from ca. I was looking for a place to get in out of the cold and came inside. I had a macchiato and a croissant stuffed with cheese and spinach...delicious! The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant. The owner was a delight to speak with. I can't wait to bring out of town family in for a treat when showing them our new home!

The ham and cheese croissant was alright, but the "house mocha" was literally just coffee with store-bought chocolate milk added. It was disappointing and not very good.

the pastry here is magical. the croissants are light and flaky; the cookies sweet and firm. I stopped in for a light snack and a cup of tea. the snack was amazing; the tea however was Celestial Seasons. weird. totally not up to the standard of the pastries.

Visited earlier today and purchased a breakfast croissant filled with cheddar, bacon and egg - delicious and filling! The crust was both tender and crispy. I also purchased an almond horn cookie and one shortbread cookie. I couldn't resist breaking off a piece of the almond horn cookie -- deliciously fresh and tasted exactly how I imagined it should taste -- wonderful! The shortbread cookie was good, nothing fantastic. (I prefer shortbread cookies super buttery and firm.) This one was soft and was not as buttery as I like. For sure, I'll be going back for more almond horn cookies as well as trying some other baked goods. I'd like to try their lunch menu sometime soon, too! Note: People, including me, must realize that small town bakeries cannot be fairly compared to big city bakeries; however, quality is key (not quantity). And I believe that this bakery's products may lack variety, but the quality shines through. -Born in Manhattan; Raised in Brooklyn (I KNOW food!)

Went for breakfast and the quiche was over cooked and didn't have much flavor. Also bought a cookie for later and it was as hard as a rock. It did not seem like everything was made fresh daily, which I expect in a good bakery. The coffee drinks were good though. I'll give it another chance, but can't recommend at this time.

I meant to go to a different cafe but got lost a block away. Figured this would be just as good and it was. I got the chicken noodle soup. The noodles were delicious though I think they used thigh meat for the chicken and I'm not a fan. And I think I should have got a bit more for the price. Still, it was obviously homemade (which was great) and very yummy. The coffee is excellent, better than starbucks and they have real cups! and a free refill. The coffee I give 4 stars. The soup gets 3.5 and the roll that came with the soup gets a 2.5. It had a bitter taste for some reason. Weird. And 4.5 stars for the service. I have social anxiety so it's really nice to go to a place where they are not only patient but kind.
